What is are the major differences between Planet Earth and Planet Glaanus, when they seem so alike to each other, maybe even "separated at birth"? They differ in a number of things. First, Planet Glaanus has different biomes and ecosystems than Earth (biomes shown in the slideshow at the right, but will be discussed in another section). They also differ in the flora and fauna (creatures and plants), having animals that are bigger, more dangerous, and less predictable to those back at Earth. Even though the people (or race) are the same, advancements in technology have been made due to the fact that for this expedition, the greatest minds of Earth were sent, alongside with the best technological advancements from Earth at the time.

There are also differences in the trading that takes place in the planet, since Planet Glaanus is located in a star system that has other planets who have life, extraterrestrial life. Peaceful trading and communications have been made, something that wasn't possible at Earth. Finally, another major distinction is in the size of both planets when compared, and the amount of days it takes each to cycle around their star. Also, Planet Glaanus has a bigger moon (Pandora) than the moon Earth has. The religion and governmental ideas and practices have remained the same though. One could say Planet Glaamus is the center of innovation.
